Custer | Wind Caves National Park

Campground: Custer Mountain Campground + Wind Caves Hiking

Overall, This Campground Was: Okay (clean - grass, sites very close together.)

We camped with: Mawk 6

Our favorite thing to do at this campground was: Didn't hang @ camp much.

One thing we'll always remember about this trip was: Day 3 - Great family hike. Stairs. -> Hard to park RV!! Day 2 - Sylvan Lake. Fun hike around. Cold water, small, ok beach.

Trip Details In the city - finding painted Buffalo. Fun park Sylvan Lake, Burger restaurant.

On the Menu Black Hills Burger & Bun - Amazing burgers! Bison meat, garlic aioli. Chix Tenders & ranch also good

Additional Details Mt. Rushmore Keystone - not a must. Found a great day-use picnic area just 6 min. away. Had an early dinner, then headed to Mt. Rushmore. 4 hrs was a good amount of time to see and do. Presidential trail, visitor center, ice cream, night show in huge amphitheater.

Wind Caves N.P. Drove through - 4 hrs. Caves still closed. Did small family hike. Rankin Ridge LOVED Prairie Dogs! Saw many Prairie Dogs and Bison.
